Course Essentials

Our LLB English Law & Spanish Law course is a dual degree leading to two separate awards from two leading law schools. You will get the opportunity to study for two years at King’s College London, followed by two years at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), Barcelona. On successful completion of the course you will be awarded with an LLB from King’s and Grado en Derecho from UPF. By studying this course you will gain exposure to two legal systems with the opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding of a number of areas of the law involved in the English and the Spanish legal systems. Years 1 and 2 of the course are primarily taught at the Strand and Waterloo campuses with Years 3 and 4 taking place at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Please note that locations are determined by where each module is taught and may vary depending on the optional modules you select.

  • Preferred subjects: No preferred subjects.

  • Please note that A-level General Studies, Critical Thinking, Thinking Skills and Global Perspectives are not accepted by King's as one of your A levels.
  • Must include grade A in Spanish. Alternatively, for applicants who have not studied Spanish at the required academic level, we can consider the Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE) alongside 3 A-levels. The minimum level required is B2.

Contextual A-Level Information

  • Must include grade 6 in Higher Level Spanish. Alternatively, for applicants who have not studied Spanish at the required academic level, we can consider the Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE) alongside the IB Diploma. The minimum level required is B2.

Contextual International Baccalaureate Information

  • 35 points overall or an aggregate score of 17 from three Higher Levels.
  • Must include grade 6 in Higher Level Spanish. Alternatively, for applicants who have not studied Spanish at the required academic level, we can consider the Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE) alongside the IB Diploma. The minimum level required is B2.

LNAT

  • All applicants are required to take the National Admissions Test for Law (LNAT) by 31 December.

Alternative Law Programmes

  • If you are applying for admission for English Law & French Law LLB (M121), English Law & German Law LLB (M122), English Law & Spanish Law LLB (M123), English Law & Australian Law LLB (M124), or Politics, Philosophy & Law LLB (LM21) and also wish to be considered for the Law LLB (M100) course you must make a separate entry on your UCAS form.
