Course Description

This European Studies (German Pathway) BA will teach you all about the history and politics of Europe and equip you with the language skills to truly understand the German perspective. You’ll spend a year studying in German at a Berlin university and graduate as both a German speaker and an expert in European Studies.

Located on the north bank of the River Thames, the Strand Campus houses King's College London's arts and sciences faculties.

Entry Requirements

Subject Requirements

• Required subjects: A-level (or equivalent) grade B in German, except for those applying to study the Ab Initio (language beginners or intermediate) pathway.
• Preferred subjects: None.

A-Levels

• Required grades: AAB
• Please note that A-level General Studies, Critical Thinking, Thinking Skills, and Global Perspectives are not accepted by King's as one of your A levels.

Contextual A-Level Information

• There is no required subject for the Ab Initio pathway. Must include grade B in German for the standard pathway.

International Baccalaureate Diploma

• 35 points overall or an aggregate score of 17 from three Higher Levels.
• There is no required subject for the Ab Initio pathway. Must include grade 5 in Higher Level German for the standard pathway.
