Teaching & structure

Teaching methods - what to expect

This is a distance-learning course.

Typically, one credit equates to 10 hours of work.

Students will have already successfully completed their PGDip (120 credits). You will normally take 60 credits to top up the award to a MA.

Please note students who upgrade to the MA award will have their PGDip award revoked. This allows for the final MA award to be calculated using the module marks from the 120 credits of the PGDip previously taken and the mark for the MA dissertation. The revocation of the PGDip award ensures marks are not double-counted across awards.

Assessment

  • Dissertation

For the MA year, your assessment will be a dissertation.

The study time and assessment methods detailed above are typical and give you a good indication of what to expect. However, they are subject to change.
