A vast increase in automotive electronic systems has created an array of new engineering opportunities and challenges. Electronic systems now form a key aspect of modern vehicles and this course is designed to address some of the challenges this presents in engineering. The course includes the principle aspects of electronic engineering and will give you an appreciation of the issues encompassing the move to lower emission road transportation. In addition, it will provide an understanding of the technical and economic aspects of modern vehicles.

We will aim to address the master's level educational and training needs of research, design and development for engineers working in the area of electronic and automotive systems. We will provide you with the opportunity to:

  • develop your technical knowledge and design skills
  • develop management knowledge and skills appropriate to technical management
  • develop and enhance your ability to undertake a major design project
  • This course will aim to provide you with the skills to meet the needs of the wide range of industries that use technology and are not limited to the area of this course specialism.
