You’ll acquire the wide-ranging knowledge and skills you need to function as an effective professional, in a national and international context.
This course is a business honours degree with a major specialisation in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. It consists of three strands: Logistics and Supply Chain Management (SCM), Business Management, and Information Management.
To win in today’s marketplace, companies must continuously improve productivity, while lowering costs, and bringing quality products to market quicker than ever before. Innovative and effective SCM is key to gaining competitive advantage, reducing costs and making firms more profitable.
The course will introduce you to business and management, with a focus on the function of the supply chain and develop your ability to apply SCM and business processes and functions to actual logistics and SCM scenarios. It will also introduce you to the basic concepts and functional areas of SCM and to place these in the overall context of the strategic objectives of the organisation.
You’ll also develop strong technical competence and skill in the logistics, information technology and management areas, and raise your knowledge and competence in logistics and SCM to the level of strategic decision-making.

Students have opportunities to undertake a semester overseas in one of our partners institutions from across Europe and North America.
Work Placement
In the second semester of year 3 students have an opportunity to work alongside supply chain professionals and apply their learning in a real-world work context. Companies participating in our work placement programme include CRH, Diageo, Keelings, Tibbett & Britten, Unilever.
Professional Accreditation
The course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport of Ireland.
