• Description: Learners will gain expertise in critical topics such as neonatal and adolescent presentations, respiratory and cardiovascular problems, neurological and hematological issues, surgical and gastrointestinal concerns, and trauma management.
The program also emphasizes the use of specialized techniques applicable to pediatric emergency situations, including infographic creation, presentation delivery, and blog writing.

• Content: The program covers a broad range of topics in paediatric emergency medicine, including:
• Neonatal and Adolescent Presentations
• Respiratory and Cardiovascular Problems
• Neurological and Hematological Issues
• Surgical and Gastrointestinal Concerns

Infographic Creation, Presentation Delivery, and Blog Writing
• Structure: The program is offered in a part-time online format, allowing learners to study flexibly alongside their professional commitments.
• Course Schedule: The program is delivered over 21 months, with modules offered in eight compulsory taught modules (4 per year).
Each module consists of approximately 6 hours of livestream sessions and linked weekly discussion on the forum.

(Year 1): This module introduces learners to basic research skills, including critical appraisal of medical literature and research methodology.
• The Young Infant/Neonate and the Adolescent (Year 1): This module focuses on specific issues relevant to neonatal and adolescent presentations.
• The Child with a Respiratory or Cardiovascular Problem (Year 1): This module explores common respiratory and cardiovascular problems in children.
• The Child with a Neurological or Haematological Problem (Year 1): This module focuses on neurological and hematological issues specific to children.
• The Child with a Surgical or Gastro-Intestinal Problem (Year 2): This module covers common surgical and gastrointestinal concerns in children.
• The Critically Ill Child (Year 2): This module focuses on the management of critically ill children.
• The Child with Trauma (Year 2): This module explores the management of paediatric trauma.
• The Child with a Dermatological, Endocrine, or Renal Problem (Year 2): This module covers common dermatological, endocrine, and renal problems in children.

Assessment:

• Methods: Learners are assessed through a variety of methods, including:
• Infographics:
Learners create infographics to convey complex information in a meaningful way.
• Oral Presentations: Learners deliver presentations to their peers and faculty, demonstrating their understanding of key concepts.
• Blog Posts: Learners write blog posts on topics related to paediatric emergency medicine, demonstrating their ability to communicate effectively with a wider audience.
• Criteria: The program uses a 0-100% pass mark system.
To pass modules 1-4, learners must achieve 70% on the infographic and 30% on the forum discussions. To pass modules 5-8, an 80% mark on the final assignment and 20% on the mid-module assessment are required.
