Retheorising Global Development (challenges the academic and disciplinary divides between economic and development geography, globalisation and social change, and critiques the power and politics that have shaped these fields) 3.

Admission Requirements
Entry Requirements for the Global Development MA:
Academic Requirements:
- A 2:1 or above at undergraduate level in a relevant subject.
- In other routes, candidates without the set entry requirements may have the option to study the Graduate Diploma in Humanities and Social Sciences.
- Meeting the required grades on completion of this program provides a pathway to study the MA Global Development.
Language Proficiency Requirements:
- Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English language.
- International students must achieve an IELTS score of 7.0, with a minimum of 6.5 in Writing, and 5.5 in Reading, Listening and Speaking.
- MSc Environmental Science and MSc Water and Environmental Management require 6.5 overall including 6.0 in Writing, and 5.5 in Reading, Listening and Speaking.
Other Requirements:
- Relevant experience in development or related fields will be considered an advantage.
- Applicants are also encouraged to include a personal statement and references in their application.
- Admission requirements may be subject to change.
- The Global Development MA program also offers a Pre-Masters Diploma option for students who do not meet the standard entry requirements.
- International students may also need to meet additional visa requirements.
