Point Blank's 6-month Complete DJ Award program provides students with comprehensive DJ skills taught by industry professionals in a state-of-the-art studio. The program covers essential techniques, including beat matching, equalization, and mixing, as well as advanced skills like looping, effects use, and scratching. Degree Overview:

Our 6-month Complete DJ Award program has been designed to give you a well-equipped arsenal of DJ skills to carry into your career. Whether you’re totally new to the game or have been DJing for a while and want to relearn the essentials, this program will give you a solid foundation of industry techniques, tips, and tricks you can’t teach yourself. You’ll begin by getting to know your Pioneer equipment and software before moving on to both essential and creative DJ skills using both analog and digital turntables. This course is taught by leading DJs such as DJ Morse Code (voted “Best DJ in America” by the Sun Times) and Dela Moon (Moontribe Crew, Electric Daisy Carnival, and more).This program is delivered in the Pioneer-sponsored DJ Studio at our brand-new campus in Miracle Mile. You will be learning on the latest industry tech including Ableton Live, Push, Logic Pro, NI Komplete, and Pioneer DJ. All students enrolling in this program will receive a copy of Ableton Live 11 Suite or Apple Logic Pro X valued at $749 and $199 respectively, as well as Pioneer Rekordbox worth $149 and a discount on Pioneer hardware. You’ll also attend exclusive masterclasses from the likes of Mark de Clive-Lowe, Laura Escude (Jay Z, Kanye West), Daddy Kev (Low End Theory) and Jimmy Mac (Lorde). DJ Skills - Level 1

• Equipment Overview: Cueing, Drop Mixing, Analog Turntables
• Beat Matching, Equalization, Transforming, Back to Back Mixing
• Rekordbox (Export Mode), Music File Formats, Programming Mixes, Recording a Mix

Term 2

DJ Skills - Level 2

• Harmonic Mixing, Looping, Hot Cues, Finger Drumming
• Creative Use of Effects, External Effect Units, Acapella Mixing, Digital DJ Tricks
• Basic Scratching Techniques, Beat Juggling, Creating DJ Drops/Idents, Producing a Radio Mix

Teaching:

• Taught by leading DJs such as DJ Morse Code and Dela Moon.
• Delivered in the Pioneer-sponsored DJ Studio at Point Blank's campus in Miracle Mile.
