Overview

The Liberal Arts (Accelerated) BA (Hons) degree is an interdisciplinary program that allows students to explore connections across the humanities. The program is designed to be completed in two years, with a focus on real-world experience and application.

Course Content

The program adopts a three-term structure, with the third term running from June to July as the Liberal Arts Summer School. Students will study two core modules and three optional modules in the first year, and two core modules and four optional modules in the second year.

Teaching Methods

The program is taught through seminars, with most modules involving three hours of seminar study. Students will also have the opportunity to interact with figures active in relevant fields, such as Cultural Heritage, Government and Politics, and Journalism.

Assessment Methods

The program uses a range of assessment strategies, including formal essays, public presentations, and creative projects. Students will develop skills as academic writers, charismatic communicators, and creative artists.

Entry Requirements

• Standard offer: 112 UCAS points
• Contextual offer: 96 UCAS points
• International students: check country-specific pages for equivalents
• English language requirements: IELTS score of 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in any section (or equivalent)

Fees and Funding

• Home students: £11,440 per year
• International students: £18,150 per year
