Creative Production BA (Hons)

Overview

The Creative Production BA (Hons) program at St Mary's University is a practical degree that prepares students to work in theatre with options in recorded TV and film. The program covers various technical disciplines, allowing students to explore other topics within the creative arts.

Cutting-edge Facilities

The program utilizes the university's creative arts facilities, including rehearsal spaces, a green-screen TV studio, a sound booth, media production suites, a Costume and Design room, and a newly commissioned, fully-LED studio performance space.


Work Placements

Students can complete a work placement to apply their skills to a professional context. Previous students have worked with the Royal Opera House, Greenwich Theatre, and Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Teaching Methods

The majority of the Creative Production degree is delivered via practical workshop sessions and rehearsals, with some theoretical areas delivered by lecture.


Assessment Methods

Assessment is through practical performances, presentations, a portfolio, and viva.
