Program Overview
The Business - Finance program is a two-year diploma that prepares students for entry-level careers in the financial services sector. Students will acquire a broad range of professional service and technical skills necessary for a variety of employment settings in all sectors of business and industry, including banks and other financial institutions, government offices, small businesses and financial planning firms.
Graduates of the program are able to challenge the Qualified Associate Financial Planning Designation (QAFP) in order to engage in financial planning and provide financial services to Canadians. Graduates will also have the skills to apply computer, communication and mathematical skills, and employ financial planning and service techniques to support activities, including the maintenance, preparation and presentation of individuals' or organizations' financial documents and statements and individuals' tax returns. In addition, graduates collaborate on a number of more complex functions, including financial analysis, planning and control.

- Students have the option to challenge the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Life Licensing Qualifying Program (LLQP) industry examinations, which provide credentials that are highly sought after by employers. There are additional fees associated with both industry examinations.
