The year gives you the academic and technical preparation for undergraduate study in a wide range of social sciences subjects. Lectures, labs and tutorials will give you a broad understanding across subjects including economics, criminology, politics, sociology and psychology. **About this course**What are human rights, and why have they changed throughout history? How much does justice differ between cultures? How are human rights coming under threat and how can they be defended? This course considers these questions and many more.You’ll become skilled at understanding the complex world of human rights and social justice work. In your final year, an advanced research project will enable you to study in greater depth what really interests you.The course emphasises practical skills to boost your employability. You’ll also have the opportunity to undertake a work placement through a sandwich year.
