The year gives you the academic and technical preparation for undergraduate study in a wide range of social sciences subjects. Lectures, labs and tutorials will give you a broad understanding across subjects including economics, criminology, politics, sociology and psychology. **About this course**How are human rights affected by social factors such as gender, race and global inequality? How do relationships, human behaviour and society relate to the protection and promotion of human rights?If you want to gain a greater understanding of these universal issues, this could be the degree for you. While studying, you’ll develop practical skills in research, numeracy, data collection and analysis, teamwork and communication.You have the opportunity to take a work placement option through a sandwich year. Your final year project will allow you to immerse yourself in the topics that interest you most.
