Overview:

This 11-week, part-time program equips students with the skills and knowledge required to navigate complex business situations and drive organizational change. It focuses on the role and responsibilities of a business analyst in both operations and strategic projects, emphasizing the tools and techniques used in the field. The curriculum aligns with the BABOK® Guide (Business Analysis Body of Knowledge) and covers the Business Analysis Core Concept Model (BACCM) for designing and building transformation solutions.

  • Equip students with the knowledge and skills to become effective business analysts.
  • Develop an understanding of the role and responsibilities of a business analyst in driving organizational change.
  • Introduce students to the tools and techniques used in business analysis.
  • Provide students with the opportunity to apply their learning to real-world case studies.

Outline:

The program comprises interactive lectures, tutorials, case studies, and practical exercises. It covers the following modules:

  • The Business Analyst Persona: This module focuses on the characteristics and skills of a successful business analyst.
  • Business Modelling and Analysis Tools: This module introduces students to various business modelling software and teaches them how to use these tools to analyze and improve business processes.
  • Stakeholder Identification and Management: This module covers the importance of stakeholder engagement in business analysis and how to effectively manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Solution Design and Development: This module focuses on the process of designing and developing solutions to address business needs.
  • Project Implementation and Evaluation: This module covers the implementation and evaluation of business analysis solutions to ensure their success.
