Dietetics and Nutrition Master of Science Degree
Overview
The Master of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition is a graduate program that explores advanced nutritional science and dietetics. The program is designed to prepare students to become Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) and make an impact on people's health.
Careers and Experiential Learning
The program provides students with opportunities for supervised experiential learning in culinary and food systems management, community, and clinical settings. Students can pursue careers in hospitals, clinics, universities, research facilities, food and pharmaceutical companies, public health organizations, government agencies, journalism, marketing, sports nutrition, commercial food service operations, and corporate well-being units.

Admissions and Financial Aid

- Submit copies of official transcript(s) (in English) of all previously completed undergraduate and graduate course work
- Hold a baccalaureate degree (or US equivalent) from an accredited university or college
- Satisfy prerequisite requirements and/or complete bridge courses prior to starting program coursework
- Submit a current resume or curriculum vitae
- Submit a personal statement of educational objectives
- Submit two letters of recommendation
- Entrance exam requirements: None
- Submit English language test scores (TOEFL, IELTS, PTE Academic), if required
Accreditation
Rochester Institute of Technology's dietetics and nutrition graduate program has been granted candidacy status by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
