Program Overview
This Events Management degree prepares students for careers in the creative industries, including arts, sports, music, and conference management. Through a combination of lectures, seminars, and practical sessions, students develop analytical and critical skills, knowledge of current trends, and hands-on experience in event planning and delivery. You will be assessed throughout your course using a range of methods including written assignments, presentations, project work, and exams. You will experience individual assessment as well as group work. In year three, you will produce a dissertation on an events topic of your choice. A supervisor will be appointed to help guide you through the process.

You will be taught through a combination of lectures, seminars, and practical sessions. You will typically have around 12-14 contact hours per week depending on what modules you select. Seminars in smaller groups will enable you to discuss and develop your understanding of topics covered in lectures. In addition, you will meet with your academic personal tutor.

The fees above are for the 2024/25 academic year but may be subject to change following any announcements by the UK Government (approved by Parliament) regarding maximum Undergraduate tuition fee caps for 2024/25. In addition, the University reserves the right to increase all full-time and part-time Undergraduate tuition fees mid-course, in line with any further inflationary increase in the Government tuition fee cap which is approved by Parliament. Students with an Overseas fee status will be eligible for an International student Scholarship fee discount of £1,500, which will be applied to all Full-time Undergraduate courses with a tuition fee of £15,500.
