The Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Software Engineering covers diverse aspects like design, development, security, and maintenance, making graduates highly sought-after candidates across various industries like finance, banking, healthcare, and national security. The program emphasizes hands-on learning through a systematic hybrid learning scheme, encompassing in-person classes at the Potsdam campus and e-learning sessions. Outline:

The full-time bachelor's degree program spans six semesters, including a "mobility window" in the 5th semester for either studying abroad or pursuing further modules with an applied focus. The program comprises a total of 180 ECTS credits. A key feature is the Career Development Semester, where students work on an end-to-end software engineering project, simulating real-world scenarios. The project involves identifying a business problem, collecting data, developing a software solution, evaluating, testing, and delivering the solution. Additionally, students participate in the App & Web Development Studio, a sandbox environment where they develop a web or mobile app using acquired technical skills.
