Degree Overview:

The Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Software Engineering covers diverse aspects like design, development, security, and maintenance, making graduates highly sought-after candidates across various industries like finance, banking, healthcare, and national security. The program emphasizes hands-on learning through a systematic hybrid learning scheme, encompassing in-person classes at the Potsdam campus and e-learning sessions. Students engage in case studies, readings, discussions, group exercises, and projects, honing their skills through diverse teaching methods like student-centered pedagogy, project-based learning, collaborative learning, and personalized coaching.
Outline:
The full-time bachelor's degree program spans six semesters, including a "mobility window" in the 5th semester for either studying abroad or pursuing further modules with an applied focus. The program comprises a total of 180 ECTS credits. A key feature is the Career Development Semester, where students work on an end-to-end software engineering project, simulating real-world scenarios. The project involves identifying a business problem, collecting data, developing a software solution, evaluating, testing, and delivering the solution. Additionally, students participate in the App & Web Development Studio, a sandbox environment where they develop a web or mobile app using acquired technical skills.

Standard Tuition Fees Germany/EU applicants From € 9,600 per year International applicants from € 13,125 per year Flexible payment plan Gisma offers flexible payment plans that allow you to spread the costs of your programme fees in up to six instalments. A refundable deposit of €3,000 is required to secure your place, and the remainder of the tuition fee is to be paid after the start of programme in accordance with your payment schedule. Payments are accepted by bank transfer, or via one of our payment partners – Transfermate and Stripe.
