What will I experience?
Digital marketing is a broad term that refers to various promotional techniques deployed to reach customers via digital technologies. Digital marketing is embodied by an extensive selection of service, product and brand marketing tactics, which mainly use the internet as a core promotional medium, in addition to mobile and traditional television and radio. One of the fastest growing arms of digital media is that of social media and its growing social networks.
A recent report has identified digital marketing as one of the few industries that has more jobs than qualified candidates. Following on from this the European Commission has predicted that there are , unfilled digital jobs across Europe.
This add-on honours degree will give you the competencies required for a successful digital marketing career. You will gain experience in implementing a marketing communications strategy for a business, as well as how to scheme, develop and monitor a content marketing campaign. You will plan, implement, measure and report on website analytics and PPC (paid per click) campaigns.
What opportunities might it lead to?
A Level 8 qualification gives you a very wide set of skills and you will have the ability to work in positions in small/medium-size enterprises where the demands for marketing with social media skills are apparent. Graduates from the degree in Digital Marketing have recieved many roles like; Digital Marketing Assistant, Web Designer, Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing Manager, and SEO Consultant.
