What will I learn?
Biology. Chemistry. Physiology. Genetics. Math. Physics. This program pulls courses from throughout UB to give you a well-rounded education. After you take the core courses—which are also common prerequisites for medical school and other programs—you can choose from electives in areas like forensic science, developmental psychology, and health issues in underserved communities.
What can I do outside of class?
- On-campus research lets you work on a project in a lab, or you can do your own independent research in biochemistry, pharmacology or a related field—all with the support of a faculty mentor.
- Many students choose to do an internship at a lab, hospital, public health agency or other organization (on-campus or off-campus).
