Marketing Management (BBA, 4 Years)


Degree Overview:

The BBA Marketing Management degree aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of core marketing principles, concepts, tools, trends, and developments in modern marketing theory and practice. This includes:

  • Delivering cutting-edge content to build competency in a fundamental understanding of marketing.
  • Developing student skills in applying theoretical concepts to practice using research and strategic tools of strategic marketing planning.
  • Enabling students to identify the critical role of consumers as being central within the marketing process.
  • Enhancing critical thinking abilities by considering varied viewpoints, alternative courses of action, and their implications, examining ethical issues, and incorporating relevant stakeholders' interests.
  • Providing students with intellectually challenging marketing courses that fulfill the personal development of students while being founded on scholarship and research.
  • The degree is accredited by the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education, D.O.A.T.A.P (Greece), and the UK Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). The CIM accreditation makes graduates eligible for professional qualifications through a set of reduced modules. This eligibility requires students to take the following courses: MKTG-291 Marketing, MGT-281 Introduction to Management, and BADM-480 Task-Based Internship or MKTG-499 Marketing Practicum, plus 17 other Marketing Courses. Additionally, students must ensure they take MKTG-396 Marketing Research and Data Analytics. The program prepares graduates for diverse career opportunities in various sectors including financial services, banking, professional services (accounting, insurance, legal), manufacturing, non-profit organizations, tertiary education, fashion, and retail.

Assessment:

Continuous assessment can include, amongst others, mid-terms, projects, weekly critical thinking exercises/activities, case study analysis, weekly class participation, and individual assignments. Letter grades are calculated based on the weight of the final exam and the continuous assessment and the actual numerical marks obtained in these two assessment components.
