Profile of the Programme

The MSc in Metaverse is designed to provide participants a specialized program of study to become competent professionals in the field of Metaverse. Graduates will be able to develop computational design, programming skills and acquire hands-on cutting-edge experience, while cultivating analytical and creative thinking on the applications of Metaverse.


Career Prospects

The program gives students the opportunity to acquire deeper knowledge and skills in the field of Metaverse. This is a relatively new area of practice and research that is expected to provide ample employment opportunities for program graduates in various and inter-disciplinary positions.


Access to Further Studies

Graduates of the programme can be accepted into Third Cycle degrees (Doctoral Degree).


Admission

The minimum general requirement for admission to the post-graduate degree programme is a Bachelor Degree from a recognised university.


English Language Proficiency

Students satisfy the English requirements if their first degree was taught in English. Otherwise, they would need to present a minimum TOEFL score 550 and above, or Computer-based TOEFL score of 213 and above, or Internet-based TOEFL (iBT) score 79-80 and above, or GCSE (or GCE) English Language “O” Level of “C” or above or IELTS of 6.5 and above or Cambridge Exams (First Certificate with Grade B and above, as well as Proficiency with Grade C and above or a score placement at the ENGL-100 level of the University English Placement Test. The University offers English courses at various levels to help students reach the required standard for admission to a graduate program.


Assessment

Course assessment usually comprises of a comprehensive final exam and continuous assessment. Continuous assessment can include amongst others, mid-terms, projects, etc.


Graduation

The student must complete 90 ECTS and all programme requirements.


Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, the students should be able to:


  1. Acquire knowledge and expertise in Metaverse.
  2. Conduct research leading to new knowledge in Metaverse.
  3. Propose original applications of analysis and research knowledge in the field of Metaverse.
  4. Unfold leadership skills, through teamwork, relative in Metaverse with the purpose of enriching current practices or introducing new processes that can be used to design, implement, gain value and manage Metaverse applications.
  5. Develop the capacity to creatively deal with complex problems either individually or as part of a group through research or practical projects.
  6. Critically evaluate Metaverse systems and solutions, and apply theory, practices and tools for their specification, design, implementation, maintenance, and management.
  7. Communicate clearly and analytically using techniques derived from scientific practice in group meetings, presentations, lectures, written reports, and research papers.
  8. Exhibit such skills that are required to participate in research and development work or to independently work in other qualified areas as well as be able to continue studies towards a doctoral degree.
