Overview

The Economics BSc Honours course at the University of Westminster provides students with a solid understanding of economic theories, economic policy making, econometric techniques, quantitative analysis, and analytical reasoning. The course aims to prepare students to use economic reasoning, mathematical and statistical analysis, to analyse and evaluate financial performance and public policy issues.

Course Structure

The course is divided into three years, with the option to take a placement year or study abroad year between Years 2 and 3.

Placement Year

• Students can undertake a one-year, full-time business placement as a Professional Experience Year within the UK or study English-taught courses for a year at one of our overseas partner institutions.

• A levels – BBC (112 UCAS Tariff points)
• T levels – 112 UCAS Tariff points
• International Baccalaureate – 112 UCAS Tariff points from all components of the Diploma Programme
• BTEC Extended Diploma – DMM
• BTEC Diploma – DD
• Access – 112 UCAS Tariff points from the Access course
• GCSE English Language grade 4/C – IB grade 4 Higher Level, GCSE Maths grade 4/C – IB grade 4

International

• International Baccalaureate – 112 UCAS Tariff points from all components of the Diploma Programme
• We accept a wide range of international high school level qualifications
• English language requirements: IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with a score of 5.5 in each component

Fees and Funding

UK

• UK tuition fee: £9,535 (Price per academic year)
• Funding: tuition fee loans, scholarships, and other funding options available

International

• International tuition fee: £17,000 (Price per academic year)
• Funding: international student funding options available
