Program Overview
The Legal Practice LLM is a one-year course at the University of Westminster that prepares you to be effective in practice and convincing to employers. It is perfect for those with a Qualifying Law Degree or a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) who aspire to a career as a solicitor in England and Wales. The course is accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and provides a well-rounded education with a focus on practical skills such as interviewing and writing. It includes core modules like Business Law and Practice and Professional Conduct and Regulation and provides opportunities for students to specialize by choosing electives such as Family Law or Commercial Law. Graduates will be eligible to take the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) or pursue traditional options like the route of a training contract.
