Program Overview
APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ)
Overview
This Project Management Qualification (PMQ) is a knowledge-based award developed and accredited by the Association for Project Management (APM), the only chartered body for the project profession. This five-day course will help you understand how the various elements of a project fit together and how projects of all sizes and scope fit into the strategic and commercial environment. Passing the exam gives you an internationally-recognised qualification and takes you one step closer to becoming a Chartered Project Professional (ChPP).
Who is the course aimed at?
This course is suitable for project professionals who have some knowledge, understanding or experience of project management and are looking to move deeper into a project management career. It is particularly aimed at those who have two to three years of experience as a project professional or are undertaking a project management apprenticeship or degree, and are interested in learning about all areas of project management rather than a particular methodology.
About the APM and PMQ
The Association for Project Management (APM) is the only chartered body for the project profession, with over 30,000 individual members and more than 500 organisations participating in its Corporate Partnership Programme. First formed in the UK in 1972 with the original name the Association of Project Managers, the name changed in 1996 to reflect its growing interest in the project management industry. The APM PMQ, which is often preceded by the Project Foundations Qualification (PFQ), is part of a progression linked together with the Project Professional Qualification (PPQ) to form a learning pathway for Project Managers.
What's included in the course cost?
The course cost includes lectures, lecture materials, a copy of the study guide, one sample examination paper and an online examination.
