Program Overview


PRINCE2 Practitioner

Overview

This accredited two-day project management course follows on from the PRINCE2 Foundation course and provides an understanding of how the method works in practice. The course covers the contents of PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects, the official book of the method published by PeopleCert in 2023.


Course Summary

The course puts the PRINCE2 concepts into practice and prepares students for the exam that leads to the PRINCE2 Practitioner certificate. The course begins where the PRINCE2 Foundation course left off by going into more detail on each of the practices and processes that make up the method.


Entry Requirements

To be able to take the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam, students must provide proof of holding the PRINCE2 Foundation or PRINCE2 6th edition Foundation certification.

Course Structure

The course consists of a series of classroom lectures and group exercises over 2 days, totalling 14 contact hours. The lectures introduce the method's terminology, followed by discussions of the case studies that explain how to use the method in practice.


Teaching and Assessment

The exam is a PeopleCert Online Proctored Exam. Students will get an exam voucher from the university and then book their exam with PeopleCert, at a date of their choosing. The exam is open book, 150 minutes long, and consists of 70 objective testing questions. The pass mark is 60% and it leads to the official PRINCE2 Practitioner certificate.
