Telescopic Forklift Handling - Certificate of Competence
Program Overview
Certificate of Competence: Telescopic Forklift Handling
Who is this course designed for?
This short course in Rough Terrain Telescopic Forklift Handling is designed for anyone working with telescopic lift trucks pallet and bulk up to nine metres. Lift trucks are common across the land-based industries and contribute to increase efficiency in moving bulk and palletised loads around. However, even experienced operators can find themselves in difficult or dangerous circumstances and accidents can happen without the appropriate training.
The course will give you the necessary skills and knowledge to operate the machine safely and efficiently. Training is also a legal requirement under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER 98), which requires employers to ensure that equipment is only operated by those who have received the relevant training.
Most of the students on this course work in the land-based industries, in agriculture, horticulture or arboriculture.
