Tractor Driving
Who is the course designed for?
This two-day course is designed for any person who drives a tractor with or without implements as part of their work. This course is designed to help tractor drivers carry out their work safely and will give trainees the confidence to become a competent and safe operator when driving and handling a wheeled tractor.
Course contents
- Pre-use safety checks
- Identify and explain use of instruments and controls
- Demonstrate knowledge of potential hazards
- Drive tractor and trailer
- Attach a PTO driven machine and fit a PTO shaft
- Identify factors to consider when cleaning and inspecting the tractor
Assessment on the above is mandatory but operating a loader with a tractor is an additional, optional element.

Duration
This is a two-day course with an additional 1.5 hour assessment by an independent assessor.

This training leads to an industry recognised qualification from Lantra.
