Bee Keeping: A Brief Introduction

Overview

This course, which runs for four hours, will introduce you to the basics of bees and bee keeping. The intention is to give you sufficient information to make an informed decision about keeping bees. It includes both theoretical and practical elements.

Topics covered will include:

• the importance of bees
• benefits of keeping bees
• products of the beehive
• the hierarchy of the hive

You'll be given a demonstration of handling frames and live bees.

The instructor/student ratio is 1:8.

When you complete this course we will issue you a certificate of attendance.
