Description

Fine-tune your understanding of children and young people's mental health, and turn your existing qualification into a full degree in just two years.


Teaching and Assessment

  • You'll complete four modules over two years.
  • Two modules explore mental health conditions in children and young people, the role of families and support services in aiding recovery, and children's psychological development from infancy through to adolescence.
  • One module focuses on research methodology.
  • The final module is an Undergraduate Major Project, where you'll work on a topic of interest to you, with support from a tutor who's conducted research in a similar area.
  • You'll be assessed through essays, research reports, artefacts, reflective summaries, and your Undergraduate Major Project.

Entry Requirements

  • Applicants must demonstrate 120 credits at level 4 and 120 credits at level 5 through a diploma and or a professional qualification.
  • Individuals should be working in, or have an interest in child and adolescent mental health.

Fees and Paying for University

  • The part-time course fee assumes that you're studying at half the rate of a full-time student (50% intensity, or 60 credits per year).
  • Course fees will be different if you study over a longer period, or for more credits.
