Our course provides a greater understanding of manual handling and the associated risks of poor lifting techniques. It's a practical course, and over three hours you'll be given valuable advice on topics including:


  • Manual handling regulations
  • Employer and employee responsibilities
  • Principles and benefits of safe lifting
  • Use and selection of PPE
  • Mechanics of the body
  • Identification of hazards
  • Lifting different types of load
  • Pushing and pulling a load
  • Moving a load with another person
  • Securing loads.

We encourage you to bring items related to your workplace, to mirror daily tasks.


We'll issue a Certificate of Attendance on completion of the course.
