Our course provides a greater understanding of manual handling and the associated risks of poor lifting techniques. It's a practical course, and over three hours you'll be given valuable advice on topics including:
- Manual handling regulations
- Employer and employee responsibilities
- Principles and benefits of safe lifting
- Use and selection of PPE
- Mechanics of the body
- Identification of hazards
- Lifting different types of load
- Pushing and pulling a load
- Moving a load with another person
- Securing loads.
We encourage you to bring items related to your workplace, to mirror daily tasks.
We'll issue a Certificate of Attendance on completion of the course.
