Full Description
To achieve this 30 credit, Level 6 course you will complete 300 hours of work-based practice (off-site) and 30 hours of guided independent study. You'll access the delivered content of this course fully online. You'll further develop your reflective practice by keeping a live e-portfolio throughout your work and studies.
Work-Based Practice
The work-based practice will consist of actively participating in relevant professional activity, contributing to day-to-day practice of your chosen sphere and generating material relevant to your Professional Practice Portfolio. You will be expected to undertake a significant period of professional practice (minimum 300 hours), in a clinical veterinary physiotherapy setting. This will be supported by formative feedback and mentoring by experienced qualified veterinary physiotherapists. You will develop professional maturity in your chosen sector of the profession, an ability to recognise the requirement for career planning and continuous development, and the impact of such on yourself and/or on the organisation for whom you work.
You will be expected to contribute to your professional portfolio actively and continually.

- Vlog creation and editing
- E-portfolio contributions
- Relevant visits in own time
- Study for presentation preparation and assignments
- Reading relevant publications to support learning
- Online activities including quizzes, videos, reviewing lecture material
Assessment Methods
Your knowledge and understanding is assessed through your Professional Practice Portfolio. Your portfolio will evidence the 300 hours of work-based practice and will contain various elements demonstrating professional learning such as role descriptor, case studies and reflective statement.

It will help you recognise the requirement for career planning and continuous development and its impact on yourself and/or on the organisation for whom you work.
