Grass cutting and gardening services are a growing industry and there is nothing more impressive than a healthy, well-maintained lawn.
Our course will provide you with the basic knowledge and skills to manage a lawn and achieve sustainability.
Over the course of two days we'll cover topics including:
- grass and its use in varying situations
- weed, disease and pest identification
- soil science
- fertiliser use, timing and choice
- treating turf problems, associated legislation/requirements
- sustainable lawn care
- lawn care treatment programmes - Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
- irrigation needs
- aeration
- scarification
- top dressing
- seeding
- mowing – mower selection and frequency
- basic machinery maintenance
When you complete the course, you'll receive a Certificate of Attendance.
