Overview
This one-day course teaches a practical approach to using ultrasound in regional anaesthesia.
Full Description
The course is suitable for both novice users and those with some experience of using ultrasound who wish to enhance their skills.
We have support from several companies providing a range of ultrasound machines, needles, and other equipment for the course.
Featuring:
- hands-on experience of scanning of live models
- hands-on experience of needling realistic meat models
- small groups to facilitate increased practical time.
Blocks include:
- upper limb – interscalene supraclavicular and axillary brachial plexus, forearm blocks
- lower limb – femoral canal, fascia iliaca and sciatic nerve blocks
- trunk – transversus abdominis plane, PECS, serratus, ilioinguinal and rectus sheath blocks
- back – central neuraxial blocks.
Lunch and refreshments provided.
