Careers
- Social workers must be registered and, once you finish this course, you’ll be able to apply to register with Social Work England.
- During your time with us, you'll gain the skills and knowledge you need for a career as a social worker.
- You’ll be skilled in case management and able to work safely within the law.
- Once you’re registered there’s a wide range of job opportunities for trained social workers.
Entry requirements
- 112 UCAS Tariff points. We accept A Levels, T Levels, BTECs, OCR, Access to HE and most other qualifications within the UCAS Tariff.
- 3 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English.
- If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 7.0 (Academic level with a minimum of 7 in each component) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.
- An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will also be required. You will also be required to register with the Online Update Service.
- A satisfactory Occupational Health clearance will also be required.
- To receive an offer of a place on this course you must be successful at interview.
Fees and paying for university
- Tuition fees and student loans for UK students (2025/26): £9,535 UK students starting 2025/26 (full-time, per year)
- Living costs: £7,000–£9,000 per year
- Funding information: You may be eligible for a Social Work Bursary in the second and third years of your degree.
