The ICRGU 10-week Pre-Master’s course is designed for smooth progression onto Robert Gordon University’s Master’s degrees. Created in partnership with several RGU Schools, this multi-disciplinary course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to succeed at postgraduate-level and start your career in leadership.

What is Healthcare Leadership?

During this course, you will focus on key areas such as:

When you progress to Robert Gordon University, you will explore the quality of health and social care, including capacity and resilience. You will learn about the person-centred approach, which considers the individual’s perspective, choices and goals, fostering a collaborative and respectful relationship between the person and the healthcare or service provider.

It is RGU’s goal to empower students with the skills and knowledge needed to take on leadership roles and drive positive changes in various health and social care settings.

Modules

Interactive Learning Skills and Communication

You will develop the academic and communication skills needed for success in postgraduate-level study. You will gain independent learning skills and learn to take responsibility for your personal, academic and professional development.

Critical Thinking

You will develop a range of critical thinking skills that will enhance your success at postgraduate level.

Leadership in Health*

This module will enable you to critically explore and appraise leadership theory and practice within the context of healthcare.

*Minimum cohort required. Alternatively, students will enrol onto the ICRGU Management module.
