Program Overview

The Horticulture program at UW-Madison integrates plant science, environmental science, and management to train students in the cultivation and use of fruits, vegetables, and ornamental plants. The curriculum includes coursework in mathematics, chemistry, biology, and horticulture, with a focus on greenhouse and field management. Graduates are prepared for careers in food production, plant nurseries, public gardens, teaching, and other horticulture-related fields.
