Program Overview

The Pharmacology and Toxicology (PharmTox) program at the University of Wisconsin–Madison combines pharmacology and toxicology to provide students with a solid understanding of drug action and adverse chemical effects. The selective program includes core courses in pharmacology, toxicology, chemistry, biology, and statistics, as well as a required research project. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in the pharmaceutical industry, toxicology, and related fields, or for further graduate study.
