Program Overview

The African American Studies M.A. program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison provides a comprehensive understanding of the African American experience through an interdisciplinary approach. Students can specialize in African American Culture, History and Society, or Black Women's Studies. The program prepares graduates for careers in academia, government, non-profit organizations, and the private sector.
