Program Overview

The Ph.D. program in Agronomy requires a strong foundation in science, including general chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, calculus, statistics, and biology. Students must complete three semesters of seminar courses and may be admitted with deficiencies at the department's discretion. Graduates are prepared for careers in research, teaching, and extension at academic and government institutions, as well as research and technical careers in industry.
