Program Overview

The MFA in Human Ecology fosters creative design performance, emphasizing conceptual thinking, exploration, and execution excellence. Students complete coursework, pass an interim qualifier, and develop a thesis proposal outlining their creative work. They present their work annually in group reviews and culminate their studies with a thesis that includes a studio component, written component, and oral defense.
