Program Overview

This PhD program prepares students for careers in teaching and research in universities, national laboratories, or the medical and nuclear technology industries. Students must pass an oral qualifying exam by the end of their second year to continue with their PhD or receive an MS degree. Graduates are also eligible for admission into medical physics residency programs.
