Program Overview

The Community-Engaged Scholarship Graduate/Professional Certificate program equips graduate students with the knowledge and skills to practice CES, which involves collaborations with community organizations in equitable and mutually beneficial relationships. Students can focus on community-based learning, research, or other engagement efforts. Required courses include Best Practices in Community-Engaged Scholarship, Community-Based Research, and Independent Study. Elective courses cover topics such as transformative evaluation, public program evaluation, and community organization and change.
