The Certificate in Global Health Online is a graduate/professional certificate program designed for degree-seeking graduate and professional students who wish to incorporate global health into their primary course of study. The program offers a largely asynchronous, online format, allowing students to complete the certificate effectively alongside their primary degree, work, or family responsibilities.

• PUBLHLTH 710: Introduction to Global Health: History, Current Issues, and Health Statistics (2 credits)
• PUBLHLTH 711: Global Public Health and Healthcare Systems: Organizations, Governance, Financing, and Workforce (2 credits)
• PUBLHLTH 712: Global Health: Infectious Diseases, One Health, and Prevention Strategies (2 credits)
• PUBLHLTH 713: Global Health: Non-communicable Diseases, Poverty, Environmental Health, and Food Security (2 credits)
• PUBLHLTH 714: Global Health Field Work Fundamentals: Engagement, Ethics, Policy, and Methods (2 credits)

Global Health Field Experience (1 credit):

• PUBLHLTH 716: Study Abroad Global Health Field Experience Independent Study (1 credit)

Assessment:

• Students must earn a minimum GPA of 3.0 in required certificate coursework.
• All graded assignments within the certificate curriculum will contribute to the calculation of the GPA.
• Courses taken under the pass/fail option will not count toward completion of requirements.

Teaching:

• The program is delivered primarily through online coursework, providing flexibility for students to complete the certificate alongside other commitments.
• Faculty members have extensive international field experience and provide guidance and support for students' field projects and professional development.
• The program coordinator provides support with basic, procedural issues related to the certificate program.
