Program Overview

The Human Services Leadership: Youth, Family, and Community Engagement proficiency certificate prepares students to work with individuals recovering from addiction and other issues. The program covers topics such as youth development, spirituality, recovery, resilience, and conflict resolution. Graduates are prepared for roles in faith-based ministries, community and collegiate recovery programs, and youth-oriented programs focused on substance use prevention and intervention. Career options include Community Health Worker, Substance Abuse and Behavioral Disorder Counselor, and Receptionist and Information Clerk.
