Outline:
The BSc Business Management program provides a flexible structure allowing you to tailor your degree to suit your interests and career goals.
- In the first year, students take a core set of modules providing a solid foundation in business with modules encompassing: accounting, economics, marketing, human resource management, operations management and business communication.
- Students will also develop on their key skills in mathematics, statistics, computing and academic writing.
- In subsequent years, you can focus your studies in specific areas through pursuing optional modules.
- The optional modules on offer include: entrepreneurship, finance, human resource management, marketing, operations, and research methods.
- The BSc Business Management program structure also includes:
- A dissertation project, which enables you to work independently on a substantial piece of work in an area that interests you.
- The opportunity to undertake a work placement or a period of study abroad.
Assessment:
- Business Management is a broad-based degree in which you'll learn a range of practical and theoretical aspects of business.
- Assessment is via a mixture of examination and coursework.
- Coursework might include assignments such as essays, presentations, reports, and projects, depending on the specific requirements and learning objectives of a particular module.
- Examinations in the School are held at the end of each semester, typically during a two-week period in January and May/June.
- There is a re-sit assessment period in late August/early September and an exam period for level five progression in May/June.
