Program Overview

The Concurrent Teacher Education - Primary/Junior program combines a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Studies with a Bachelor of Education, preparing students to teach in elementary schools (Grades K-6) in Ontario. The program emphasizes practical experience, with field placements beginning in the second year, and provides a comprehensive understanding of child development, teaching methods, and educational psychology. Graduates are eligible for the Ontario Certificate of Qualification and Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers.
