Program Overview

The Interior Design Department offers courses for individuals interested in preparing for careers in interior design. Included in the program are a transfer program, an AS degree, and three Certificates of Achievement: the Interior Design Certificate, the Kitchen and Bath Certificate, and the Home Staging Certificate. Students can apply for the AS degree in Interior Design after completion of the required units from the certificate and from the general education plan. If a student has earned a bachelor's degree, they need to see a counselor regarding courses completed during the first two years of college that may be substituted for core requirement courses. Also, they can have their general education unit requirement waived to earn the AS degree in Interior Design.
