Master of Engineering

The Master of Engineering is designed to help students develop their research skills and enhance their knowledge in the field of engineering. There are two pathways: Research (includes a thesis) and Coursework (includes a research project).

Fees

  • Domestic: $11,851.60 (for 120 points), comprising $10,630 tuition fees and $1,221.60 student services levy
  • International: $50,321.60 (for 120 points), comprising $49,100 tuition fees and $1,221.60 student services levy
    • Fees are based on a full-time workload and are subject to change.
    • International students' tuition fees reflect the full cost of tuition, while domestic students' fees are partially funded by the New Zealand Government.

Entry Requirements

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • If you have New Zealand qualifications:
    • Completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) or Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering with a B grade average or higher
    • Completed a Bachelor of Engineering Technology including the Course ENGE601
  • If you have qualifications from another country:
    • See specific requirements for your country
    • Must have completed an advanced level of calculus at least equivalent to NZQF Level 6

English Language Requirements

  • IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall with all bands 6.0 or higher, or equivalent
