Entry Requirements
- Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Laws (Honours), or equivalent.
- Exceptional Circumstances: Applicants without the above qualifications but with extensive professional or scholarly experience may be considered.
- International Students: Must meet English language requirements, with an IELTS (Academic) score of 7.0 overall, and 7.0 or higher in Writing and Reading, and 6.5 in Listening and Speaking.
What You Study
To qualify for the Master of Laws, students must complete 120 points, including the compulsory course LAWS901 Legal Research Methodology. Study options include:
- Master of Laws by Thesis: Completion of a 120-point thesis or a 90-point thesis with 30 points from additional courses.
- Master of Laws by Dissertation: Completion of a 60-point dissertation and 60 points from additional courses.
- Master of Laws by Coursework: Completion of 120 points from courses.
