Program Overview

The broadcast meteorology major combines meteorology and journalism courses to prepare students for careers in broadcast media. The program meets American Meteorological Society requirements and includes involvement with the WOUB news outlet. Graduates are eligible to apply for the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist title and are well-prepared for various broadcast and science media positions.
